Simplified Real Time Strategy Game with an arcade twist.

Control planets to generate resources. Capture a planet by simply holding a ship in orbit, uncontested, until it changes to your team colour (always orange). Use the resources to increase fleet capacity and build more ships.

Destroy all the enemy space stations to win.

Built using Godot 4.7

Note: Try the Windows Download version if you are having issues with the browser version

Overview Mode

  • Click an ORANGE ship to select it (a white circle appears around it), then click a planet, enemy ship, or station to send it there.
  • Drag-select to choose multiple ORANGE ships at once.
  • Use the mouse wheel to zoom in for close-up action, or zoom out for a full overview.

Fleet Management (FLEET Button)

  • Game is PAUSED in this menu.
  • You can have up to 35 ships at a time in your fleet
  • Start with 7 slots unlocked, filled by the initial fleet
  • If a ship is destroyed, there is a cooldown until that slot can be reused
  • Costs 20 resources to increase fleet capacity
  • Ship types:
    • FIGHTER - costs 10
    • FRIGATE - costs 25 (max 5)
    • Destroyer - costs 50 (max 2)

Pilot Mode

Select an ORANGE SHIP and click the PILOT button to go to a third person perspective and take control.

  • Weapons fire automatically when an enemy is directly in front
  • W/S keys to move forward and backwards
  • A/D to turn left or right
  • Q/E for a subtle strafing move
  • Alternatively, use the virtual joystick on screen

Currently, just an x86/64 Windows build, with no install needed.
Zipped Download: 50 MB
Unzipped it is ~200MB

The unzipped folder contains 2 files:
system_siege_rts.exe (the Godot Engine)
system_siege_rts.pck (the actual game files)

Eventually I will also add an APK for Android, once/if it makes it onto the app store (but no ETA on this).
